These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Subham Android app
(package com.hyperzeta.subham, "the app"), published by HyperZeta
("we", "us"). By signing in or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do
not use the app.
You must be 13 or older to use the app. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use Subham only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who must read and agree to these Terms on your behalf and whose consent is required for any paid subscription. By using the app you confirm this is the case.
Signing in with a phone number or a Google account is required. You are responsible for the
phone number and account you sign in with, for the one-time codes sent to it, and for activity
under your account. Standard SMS and data charges from your carrier may apply to verification
messages. You can delete your account at any time from
Profile → Account → Delete account; this is permanent and also erases all app data
on the device.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for planning your own ceremonies. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, resell or redistribute the app, or use it to build a competing product, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Everything you enter — events, tasks, budgets, vendor and guest contacts, moi entries, notes — is yours and is stored on your device (and in your own Google Drive, if you turn on backup). We do not claim ownership of it and, because it never reaches us, we cannot read, restore or moderate it. You are responsible for what you record, including details of other people, and for having a proper basis to record them. Do not use the app to store unlawful content.
Subham ships ritual templates, ceremony sequences and task lists prepared as general guidance, following Iyer Smartha tradition unless stated otherwise. Practice varies by family, region, community and lineage, and templates are offered for planning convenience only. They are not religious authority and are not a substitute for your family's own practice or your pundit's advice. Muhurtham timings, dates and any panchang-related information shown in the app are what you enter or what the template suggests — always confirm them with your pundit before committing to them.
Subham is free to use today and has no in-app purchases. We may later offer paid features on a subscription. If we do, the following applies: purchases are processed by Google Play Billing, not by us, and we never see your card or bank details; a subscription renews automatically for the stated period until you cancel it; you cancel or manage it in the Google Play Store, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than the current one; refunds follow Google Play's refund policy and any rights you have under local consumer law; and we may change prices or what a plan includes, with notice before the change takes effect. Paid features will be announced in the app before they appear, and free features you already rely on will not be taken away without notice.
The budget tracker, vendor payment schedules and moi ledger are record-keeping tools. They are not financial, tax or legal advice, and they are not a payment system — no money moves through the app. Amounts, balances and totals reflect only what you enter. Verify figures against your own records before relying on them. Your dealings with any vendor are strictly between you and that vendor; we are not a party to them and do not endorse, vet or guarantee any vendor.
The app stores all planning data on your phone and has no cloud sync. We hold no copy, so we cannot recover it for you. Deleting an event deletes its tasks, rituals, budget entries and vendors with it.
You can turn on the optional Google Drive backup
(Profile → Account), which saves copies to a hidden app folder in your own Google
Drive and can restore them on a new or reset phone. The app keeps the 7 most recent backups.
Backups run only on the schedule you choose and need your Google account, a network
connection and free Drive storage, so we cannot guarantee a backup exists or is current when
you need it. Restoring replaces the planning data on the phone with the backup. Without a
backup, uninstalling the app, deleting your account, wiping the device, or losing or damaging
the phone means the data is gone. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Your use of Google Drive is also governed by Google's terms.
Reminders depend on Android, on notification and alarm permissions you grant, and on device settings such as battery optimisation. We cannot guarantee that a reminder will be delivered or delivered on time. Do not rely on the app as your only reminder for anything important.
The app is provided as-is and evolves. We may add, change or remove features, or stop offering the app, at any time. We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, missed ceremonies, missed deadlines, or costs arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting your account or uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or if required by law.
Our handling of your information is described in the Subham Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
