Hologlyph — Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how HyperZeta ("we", "us") handles
information in the Hologlyph Android icon pack
(package com.hyperzeta.hologlyph, "the app"). Hologlyph is intended
for users aged 13 and older.
Summary
- All icons are bundled with the app and can be used offline with a compatible launcher.
- No account or sign-in is required.
- Hologlyph has no ads, analytics, advertising ID, or automatic crash-reporting service.
- We receive information only when you choose to send us an email, such as an icon request or bug report.
- We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Information used on your device
- Installed apps: Hologlyph reads app names, package names, launch components, and icons to match icons and show which apps you can request. It also detects compatible launchers for the Apply screen. Your full installed-app list is not sent to us.
- Settings and request history: your preferences and the list of apps you have requested are stored in the app's private storage.
- Crash information: if the app crashes, it may save the latest crash log locally so you can choose to include it in a bug report. It is not automatically sent to us.
Icon requests
Icon requests are optional. You select apps in the Request screen, then Hologlyph prepares a draft in your own email app addressed to hyperzetaz@gmail.com. Nothing is sent unless you press Send in your email app. You can review or edit the draft, remove attachments, or discard it.
A request contains:
- The selected apps' names, package names, launch components, and Play Store links.
- A ZIP attachment containing their current icons and the corresponding
appfilter.xml,appmap.xml, andtheme_resources.xmlmappings. - Your phone's manufacturer, model and product name, screen resolution, Android version, and Hologlyph and dashboard versions.
We also receive your email address, your display name as provided by your email app, and anything else you choose to include. We use this information to create and match requested icons and reply to you. Requesting icons is not required to use the icon pack.
Bug reports and support emails
If you choose to send a bug report, the email draft includes your description, basic device and app details such as those listed above, and the latest crash log if available. You decide whether to send it. We use these emails to investigate problems, improve the app, and respond to you. Avoid including passwords, payment details, or other information that is not needed to explain the problem.
Permissions and access
Hologlyph does not request access to your contacts, messages, location, camera, microphone, or personal photos and files. It does not collect an advertising ID, Android ID, IMEI, or phone number. Reading installed-app information for icon matching does not give us access to the contents of those apps.
Hologlyph itself has no internet permission and does not upload data directly. A bundled library can check network availability, but this does not allow the app to make internet connections. Email, Google Play, and Android backup operate through their own apps or system services.
Android backup and device transfer
Android backup is enabled for Hologlyph. Depending on your device and backup settings, Android may back up app data, including preferences, request history, and locally saved files, to your backup provider or transfer it to another device. HyperZeta does not receive or manage these backups. You can manage backup and restoration in your device or backup-provider settings.
Google Play and email providers
Google Play handles app distribution, any purchase made through the store, and the optional in-app review flow. Payment details are not submitted to Hologlyph. The app does not offer in-app purchases or donations. Google's processing is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
When you send an email, your chosen email provider and our mailbox provider, Gmail, process the message to deliver and store it. Their privacy policies and security practices apply. These emails are used for support and icon requests, not advertising or marketing. We do not otherwise share your support emails or attachments with third parties, except where disclosure is required by law.
Data security
Local settings and saved reports are stored in Android's private app storage. Email delivery and protection depend on the email services involved; Hologlyph cannot guarantee end-to-end encryption for messages sent through your email app. Review the contents before sending and include only what is needed for your request.
Data retention and deletion
We keep request and support emails, including attachments, only while useful for resolving issues or planning icons, and for no longer than 24 months. App names and component mappings may remain in the icon pack's source files without information identifying the person who requested them.
To request access, correction, or deletion of information you emailed us, write to hyperzetaz@gmail.com, preferably from the same address, with enough information to locate the email. We act on requests within 30 days.
Clearing Hologlyph's app data or uninstalling it removes its local data from that installation. Existing Android backups and copies of email messages are managed separately through the relevant provider; a backup may restore app data on reinstall. There is no Hologlyph account to delete.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict its use. Contact us using the email below to exercise these rights. You can use the icon pack without sending requests or reports.
Children
Hologlyph is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will update the date above and describe significant changes in the app's changelog.
